The 30 Rock star appeared in a pretaped interview on The View Friday to discuss the expletive-laced voicemail he left for his 11-year-old daughter earlier this month, appearing in all his soft-spoken, remorseful glory to apologize for the outburst and acknowledge the error of his message-leaving ways.

Baldwin also took time this week to consult with Dr. Phil McGraw, after the TV psychologist appeared on Larry King Live this week and offered to help Baldwin and Basinger work through their issues.

McGraw told E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest on his Los Angeles radio show that Baldwin had phoned McGraw Thursday morning.

“He’s fighting an uphill battle,” McGraw told Seacrest. “He did tell me that his number one priority is sustaining his relationship with his daughter. This is an important pointâ€”he didn’t say he wants to fix his relationship with her, because there’s nothing to fix.”…Read more

AP – Rosie O’Donnell’s stormy tenure on “The View” will be a short one. The opinionated host was unable to agree on a contract with ABC, and she’ll leave the show in June.

O’Donnell said on the show Wednesday that she wanted to stay for one more year, and ABC wanted three. So she decided to leave, although she said she will appear occasionally next season for things like a planned one-hour special on autism.

“It just didn’t work,” she said, “and that’s show biz. But it’s not sad because I loved it here and I love you guys and I’m not going away.”

O’Donnell has helped raise the ratings for the daytime chat show invented by Barbara Walters. But her outspokenness has caused continual controversy, including a nasty name-calling feud with Donald Trump that placed Walters squarely in the middle…Read more
